Housing and Planning Bill Requires Councils to Report on Energy Efficiency Improvements in Their Own Buildings

Are you prepared?

A Notice of Amendments to the new Housing and Planning Bill, published on 30th December 2015, includes a requirement for local authorities to prepare an annual report on the efficiency and contribution to sustainability of buildings in which the authority has an interest and the progress made in each year towards reducing the size of the authority’s overall buildings estate.
Committee stage continued on the 1st March when further amendments were discussed.
The Commons is expected to consider Lords Amendments on Monday 9 May 2016.

At Surveying Cymru we are committed to ensuring such regulations may be adhered to with the least amount of stress.

If we may be of assistance with this, when it comes to fruition then please don`t hesitate to get in touch.
